The Hungry Elf Concession Stand

Hungry elf signThe Hungry Elf Concession Stand offers a wide variety of food fare to please every member of your family at a price you can afford. From chips to drinks to hotdogs and sausages, lunch and dinner are all right here.

For your convenience, the Hungry Elf offers a variety of sodas, assorted juices, and bottled water. Ready-to-eat foods include sausages and chicken sandwiches, boiled peanuts, chips, and candy. For those chilly December days, we feature Grandy's homemade hot chocolate, along with fresh-brewed coffee.

For a unique campfire experience, the Hungry Elf offers "fire food". You may purchase a hotdog kit that contains a bun and an uncooked hotdog. Then venture over to the campfire, which is continuously burning, place your hotdog on one of the roasting sticks that we provide, and roast the hotdog to your particular liking. All the condiments are located in our covered pavilion.

And for dessert, purchase a S'More kit. The first recorded recipe for the S'More was found in The Girl Scout Handbook in 1927, and we continue the tradition at our farm. To create this tasty treat, a S'more kit contains two graham cracker packets, one Hershey bar and two marshmallows. Roast the marshmallow, place it with half of a Hershey bar between two halves of a graham cracker, and slowly smush until you have a yummy gooey mess. Marshmallows are also sold in bags of ten.

Our most popular item is our fresh-made Kettle Korn. Tom, the Kettle Korn man, pops up this salty sweet sensation in a giant steele propane-heated kettle and bags it fresh while you watch. It is available in three sizes. Most fans buy a large to eat now, and one to take home for later. It also makes an excellent gift! It will stay fresh in its sealed bag for over a week. If you're not sold on this delectable treat yet, ask for a sample. One taste and you'll be coming back for more!

Picnic tables are available in our covered pavilion area to sit and enjoy your refreshments before continuing your Tree Forest adventure. Space at the fire and at the tables is limited, so no outside food is permitted. A utility sink is located next to the pavilion with soap and water, so please wash up before enjoying your finger foods. Our farm animal area is as clean as possible, but animals can spread disease, so frequent hand washing is recommended, especially before eating.
